Random Acts of Kindness

I usually do these kind of acts everyday before this experiment. But most of the time I only act kindly to my friend or someone whom I don't know them very well. This time, I'll try to act kindly to those I don't like, and I'll be looking forward to see the change in relationship between me and them.

3 Good Things Before Falling Asleep

As I'm about to going to sleep I thought back over at least three things that made me happy during the day:
1. I continued working on my chemistry "stop motion" project, and the progress is quite impressive. My partner showed up and helped me a lot. It is good we can get along as a team.
2. I teased one of my friend who was feeling down and that made him feel better. I feel good to help relieving people.
3. About the "stop motion" again......., Mr. Thornley postponed the due date from Friday to next Monday!!!!!!. It is really nice of him. Now, I don't have to rush off to finish the project in time.

Reactions to My 5 Signature Strength

My 5 signature strengths are creativity, humor, kindness, self-control, and teamwork I think these 5 signature strengths really match the "real me". These signature strengths I have are sometimes not recognized by people, but I am the one who can internally recognize it by myself (self-report). I totally agree that my top strength is creativity. I like to create my own unique ways of doing things. I think this trait is even much better when I combine it with humor. I usually create my own words and ways of describing things, and then use them to make people laugh. I love to help people when they are struggling with their works, and, on the other hand, I tend to dislike selfish people who are not helpful at all. I also agree that another of my signature strength is self-control. I usually not show my emotions when I'm feeling down. I just keep those bad feelings to myself (adding to my "lack of energy" weakness). Lastly, I agree that I can do a great job in working as a team. I usually respect everyone in the group and work hard for the success of my group.

Our Experiment

Mr. Anthony gave us an article to read about the ways to be HAPPY!!. Everyone in the class decided to follow the methods suggested in the article for a month. The best three methods we found from the article are identifying and strenghtening our 5 strengths, thinking about 3 good things in life before we sleep, and the random acts of kindness.

This blog is created to record our experience from the doing these experiments and how we became a happier person!!
